I recently saw this quiz that was written by Just Tiki contributor, Cherese of Afrophire.com. The quiz is a great way to determine if the methods you are using are harming your hair.
My Hair Health Quiz Results
Sometimes we do things to our hair with the best of intentions but the action harms our hair in the long run. I took the quiz and I had a tie with D’s and C’s. So, I’m going to say I am as responsible with my hair as I can be to keep it healthy.
Areas of Improvement
I know my area for improvement is not moisturizing and sealing nightly. I am not making excuses. Some nights I forget and other nights I just can’t because of joint pain. I have gotten better since I listed it on my monthly challenge. It has held me accountable.
The other issue I have is using my blow dryer and flat iron the achieve straight hair. I know most people say one or the other; however, I rarely use heat in my hair and when I do I want it as straight as possible. I will also add that I use the comb and chase method, apply heat protectant, and use a lower heat setting but enough to straighten my hair in one pass.
