Sometimes you find inspiration in the strangest places. I found inspiration for my tropical makeup tutorial while standing in my shower trying to wake up. Let’s face it, I am not a morning person. It takes a little bit for me to get going, so I have to have just the right soaps and body washes to wake me up. While I was looking at my Tone® Mango Splash Body Wash and Tone® Blissful Awakening Body Wash bottles, I thought the colors would make a gorgeous and vibrant makeup look. Don’t judge me! LOL
So, I went on the hunt for just the right eyeshadows to create this look to share with you all. I wanted my makeup to look as cheerful as the Mango Splash scent. Plus, I love to play with colors but don’t always have a chance to do so. This was one of those times that you have a makeup look in mind and you are determined that you are going to give it a try. I have another variation of the look that I think I will play with by subbing the yellow shadow with gold. I bet that will be super pretty.
Anywho, I love summer time because it changes my entire mood. Plus, summer colors give me life…literally. I know I’m not the only person who perks up and comes alive when the weather heats up. It’s almost like I have extra energy. I think summer inspired fragrances play a part in that too. I’m scent sensitive so candles, air fresheners, perfumes, and body washes play a role is how I feel. I can’t really explain it but trust me, my mood starts with what I use in the shower. It seriously sets the tone for my day…pun intended. #HowITone LOL!
For this look, I thought I would try the Urban Decay Electric Palette. I’ve had the palette for a bit but never use it or opened the package. I know that is so crazy but that’s how my makeup collection goes. Lol I figured this would be the perfect time to give the palette a whirl. Granted, in hindsight, I realized that I should’ve grabbed the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette too because I couldn’t find my yellow eyeshadow or pigment. So I had to head to Ulta to grab one…any excuse to go to Ulta. hehe
Enough of me chatting, let’s get into the look!
In the video, I used the color Slowburn in my crease and the outer corner of my eye. On my lower lash line, I used the Pool Party shade by L.A. Colors and to give it an extra pop and to blend it, I used Gonzo from the Urban Decay Electric Palette. For a brow bone highlight, I used one of the highlighters from the Pixi Beauty Rosey Radiance palette.
I hope that you enjoyed the video. The next time you are in Walmart, stop by their body wash section and grab one of their new Tone® Body Washes. They have several amazing scents with the IBOTTA offer, you can earn $2 when you by 2 Tone Body Washes. You know I love to earn cash back and I have my eye on the Tone® Brazilian Glam™ Body Wash.
Have you tried any of the new body washes?
