I love a good subscription bag or box. Lord knows I’ve signed up for a few in the past and I still have a few on my wish list. Around August of last year, I signed up for the Lip Monthly bag, but I cancelled my subscription due to extended delivery times.
Well, I’m all about second chances these days, so I decided to use the half-off coupon code to give Lip Monthly another try. I’m still on the fence about the delivery time, and I wasn’t happy that they charged me for the May bag before I received the April bag. Oh you know I was not happy, at all. However, when the bag arrived all was forgiven. Let me show you why…
OFRA Eyebrow Pencil – Universal
The first item in the bag that I spotted made it worth the frustration and that was the OFRA Brow Pencil. The package says it is a universal pencil and I assume if used with a light hand, it might work for my Blonde Bombshells. I don’t know for sure…Don’t start me to lying!
You would have fallen out laughing had you seen how happy I was when I saw the brow pencil. I’m on the hunt for more brow products so this made me happy. It seems Lip Monthly has switched it up a bit and is now sending out more than lip colors. Me likey! Retail- $13
I was curious about the Cargo lip gloss because it is a tad smaller than normal. According to the insert, the amount of gloss is the same but it was repackaged into a smaller container. The color is gorgeous, and it reminds me of a Mirabella lip gloss that I received earlier this year. Retail – $16
L.A. Girl Crème Lipstick – Last Night
I love the color! It is a perfect Tiki color; I love anything fuchsia or hot pink. Plus, I think it looks great on me. I blame it on my mother and her signature fuchsia lipstick by Fashion Fair. Anywho, I love L.A. Girl products because the quality is great for my divas on a budget. Did I mention the retail on this lipstick is $4? Yes ma’am! Depending on where you buy it, you may be able to find it cheaper. Can’t beat that!
Last but not least…
I am noticing City Color is one brand that is a constant in Lip Monthly bags. It’s not a bad thing but I’m just saying… I’m on the fence about the color. When I looked at the package the color looked purple but for some reason when I swatched it, the color looked redder. Maybe I was having a Tee moment. I noticed when I was editing the pictures it looked purple. Tell me what you think. Does the color look purple or red to you? It might be time for an eye exam. Retail – $4.99
Anywho, I am going to test all of the goodies out and give you the deets (details). However, I noticed when I tried to wipe off the swatches, brow pencils, and both lipsticks, it required some serious scrubbing to get them off of my arm. Now that I do like it because it lets me know lipsticks might be able to survive my lip biting.
