Top 3 Relaxers To Use For Texlaxing

Deciding what relaxer to use for telaxing is a tad overwhelming. If you are transitioning from relaxed to telaxed, I always recommend sticking with the relaxer you are currently using to relax your hair. However, if you are texlaxing for the first time or wanting to change products, I have my top three relaxers to use for texlaxing.

Top Three Relaxers to Use for Texlaxing Your Hair

1. Mizani Butter Blends

Mizani Butter Blends Relaxer

I’ve used the Mizani Butter Blends and the Mizani Rhelaxer formulations for texlaxing since 2012, and out of all of the relaxers I’ve used, the Mizani brand is my absolute favorite. My results are always consistent and I don’t have calcium build-up that is associated with no-lye relaxers.

2. Soft & Beautiful Botanicals

If you have a sensitive scalp, I would recommend the Botanicals relaxer. I used this for years prior to going natural in 2009. I was never disappointed with the results and I didn’t experience any burning with this relaxer, even without adding oil. It is truly a great relaxer for those with a sensitive scalp.

3. Africa’s Best Kids Organics

Kids Organics Relaxer to use for texlaxing hair

If I ever switched from Mizani, I would go back to this brand. Kids Organics relaxer is perfect if you want to maintain curls but loosen them up some. When I used this relaxer, I was able to achieve fewer frizzes and a looser curl pattern. I would say, this is a great option if you are moving from natural to texlaxed and you are not sure how much texture or curl you would like to keep in your hair.

Each of these is a great relaxer to use for texlaxing, and each has its benefits based on your needs or desired look. Mizani is great overall but works the best for creating a wavy hair pattern. Whereas, the Botanicals brand relaxer is great for those with a sensitive scalp. Lastly, Kids Organics is a great choice if you want to maintain a curly pattern but you reduce the amount of frizz in your hair.

If you more information about mixing a relaxer to texlax, the texlax process, or a list of other relaxers I’ve used, please visit my other articles.

I hope you enjoyed my top three list of relaxers to use for texlaxing my hair. What relaxers do you have on your list?

I use to love the botanicals one when I was relaxed. Price was good and it always left my hair feeling great.

I could scratch the mess out of my scalp before texlaxing and wouldn’t have an issue.
