April went by so quickly. I can’t believe it is May already. Now, I hope with April ending so did all of those crazy rainstorms. I am in desperate need of warm temps but can we do something about this pollen that is driving my allergies crazy? I am still on the hunt for some local honey to help both with my allergies and to add to my hair mixtures. Anywho, it is time to chat about my May hair and beauty goals.
1. To Cut or not to cut – I have toyed with the idea of cutting my hair for months. Just as soon as I think about committing to a cut, I chicken out and only do a trim. I need to decide on whether I will continue to grow my hair or maintain my length at Waist Length. Heck, I even thought about possibly maintaining at MBL (mid-back). I will make a decision this month and move forward from there with a solid plan.
2. Color Hair – I have not colored my hair since January or February and my grey’s are showing big time. I can’t take all of these little “pigmentally” challenged things running around on the top of my head. LOL! It’s time to pull out the Adore Crimson color and go to work.
3. Lose 10 lbs – Temps are getting better in the early hours and is a little easier for me to hit the pavement. I could work out at home but I love being outside. It is really time to buckle down and get back to work. This extra weight has been on me too long and I am not used to being this heavy. I am sure it will help my joints tremendously if I lose at least 20 lbs. I was close to my mini-goal in December and taking Prednisone set me back. It is time to let it go, get over the anger, and move forward.
4. Hair Posts – I realized last month I do not have as many hair posts on the site as I used to or should… I had one of my blogging friends tell me the other day that she really sees me more as a beauty blogger now. I really believe with hitting my hair length goal and being concerned about aging, my personal focus shifted and with that so did the blog’s focus. Last month I planned to include more hair posts and I did but not as many as I intended on posting. Over the next two months, I am determined to find that balance between hair and beauty posts.

Hey Tiki,
What do you mean by steaming and bagging? I’m always looking for natural hair care advice! 🙂

I have a rolling hooded steamer that I use to add extra moisture to my hair. If you check the huetiful site you will see the table top steamer most people use to steam their hair. It is a great way to open the cuticles and help conditioners adsorbs. Steaming is a must for me as I have low porosity hair. Baggying is another way to add moisture but moisturizing and sealing at night. Then you cover your hair with a plastic shower cap. This is great for natural and helps with single strand knots. Be sure to subscribe for other tips and tidbits 🙂

Hi Tiki! With my vitamins, I take them along with my regular meds. And since one of my regular meds is a “may take with food,” I always do, so that works perfect with my vitamins. I also keep one of those 7 days a week pill packs at work filled with my meds and vitamins for days I don’t get a chance to eat breakfast before work.

I have one of those 7 day container too. My problem is that’s it is so many pill I try to break them up. That is where I go wrong bc I still may forget to take the second set. I have to come up with a better plan. LOL
