The Queen bee is not only ruling the hive…she is running skincare! Perlier created the Royal Elixir Face Serum infused with Royal Jelly and organic Italian honey. When I saw the description, I just had to have it.
Honey in anything is a plus! I know how much moisture it delivers to my hair and I figured it would do the same for my face. OK, so yeah the bottle is pretty. So! Anywho, I also noticed the first ingredient was rose distillate (rose water) and that made me even more curious. Rosewater is the base of all of my homemade hair moisturizers. Again, if it works well for my hair…
When I ordered the serum I did not know it had a gold shimmer. I realized that after my first use and loved it. The gold shimmer is only noticeable close-up and not at all overpowering or extremely noticeable. You won’t walk around with big flakes of gold under your makeup. Under my foundation. it gives me a glow or a dewy look. I wore serum in my first beauty video and I had people message me about my skin. I did not have on a highlighter, only the Royal Elixir Face Serum and blush.
Perlier describes the serum as their “Youth Elixir with fresh Royal Jelly” using the “secret of longevity of the Queen bee.” Royal jelly is produced by worker bees and fed to all larvae. When a Queen bee is needed larger numbers of Royal Jelly is fed to a few larvae selected to be a possible queen. So, this stuff is powerful enough to turn a normal bee into a queen. Oh, honey! I had to see what it would do for my skin.

When I read “serum” I expected the consistency to be close to a gel. The Perlier serum is more of a cream, but it is extremely lightweight. A few times, I forgot to moisturize my skin after applying the serum. I have dry skin and not moisturizing is a major don’t. However, my skin felt moisturized with the serum only.
The Perlier Royal Elixir Face Serum is not a product that you will see major results immediately. You will notice your skin is more moisturized; however, the real benefits will take some time to notice and experience. The fragrance is very light. It has a clean soap scent but not in a bad way.
I went to the Perlier website while writing this review and noticed the retail cost. OMG! I almost fainted! On the brand site, the serum retails for $200. There is no way in the world I could purchase this product. I am all about beauty on a budget. I have some items I will splurge on, but I can do a lot with $200.
Anywho, I noticed something odd while I was on the site. I think I might have used the serum incorrectly because the site says to use the product twice daily for “7 consecutive days per month.” Now I’m wondering if you should only use it for one week per month instead of daily. Hmm
I am glad I was able to test this serum. I do like and I would say give it a try if it’s in your budget.
Why must prods cost so dern much.

I believe in paying more for quality products but not $200 no matter how well it works. Not in my budget
$200!!! For that price it better make all my organs at least 25 again! Great review anyways 🙂

LOL! You are too much! I almost screamed when I read your response. I love the product but $200 is way beyond my budget.
