I don’t know what I was thinking. I had to take a test today, but I applied some of my Ayurvedic products. As much as I love mustard oil, it is not the most pleasant-smelling product that I use for my hair. So, I decided to do a super quick co-wash. I simply used my V05 Moisture Milks mixed with Sunflower Oil. Co-washing helped tame the smell but while I was signing in, I was wiping water off my neck. Not cute!!! Apparently, I need to work on my towel-drying skills.
Co-wash Issues
I ran into another snag when it came to the products that I used and being able to rinse them out fully. After my co-wash, I noticed that the water is still running yellow, instead of clear. I also noticed that my nails were discolored. What had happened was… I was being grown and I didn’t use gloves for my treatment or my Ayurvedic quick co-wash.
Co-wash Tips
All hope was not lost because I did learn a few valuable lessons from what I thought was going to be a simple co-wash.
- Wear gloves when working with Ayurvedic powders to prevent nail staining.
- If using products with sulfur or doing an Ayurvedic treatment plan to stay close to home.
- Ensure that all products are completely rinsed from your hair after completing your treatment.
- Use a microfiber hair towel to towel dry your hair and ensure all water is removed without causing any damage to your hair.
Sidenote: I decided to my nails to hide the discoloration that I was unable to remove.
My hair is still feeling super soft from my henna deep conditioning treatment from this past weekend. I wanted to steam tonight with Vatika oil but I’m feeling a little tired. My steamer is looking pitiful and neglected 🙁
OK, enough of my rambling. I hope you all are doing great with your hair goals. TTYL
She feels hurt right now! LOL
Have you done anything crazy with your hair lately?
