Yes, it’s texlax time!!! Finally, after much procrastination, I texlaxed on Fri because I just couldn’t take it any longer. I was 17.5 weeks post texlax. Sorry, no pics of that hair drama.
Anywho, I tried Mizani Butter Blends again, but the person gave me the normal strength. I prefer the version for Fine hair before because it works best for my texture. So, I was a little afraid of the normal and I added more Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) than normal and a touch of Vitamin E. I didn’t smooth my hair too long to prevent it from straightening out too much.
I will post pics below of most of the products I used. In the end, it turned out straighter than I like but still had some texture. As for growth, I regained what I cut in July but nothing extra. I then cut it again trying to even it out after my last self-trim with shears. My hair is the same length as my last pics.
I’m so glad to feel my scalp again. From now on, I will be texlaxing between 8 and 10 weeks because I ended up with broken hairs at the line of demarcation in the very front and down the middle. I think it came from putting my hair in two braids instead of four with a ton of new growth. The products below are what I used in the correct order. Most of the products are listed to the left under my staples. If you would like to purchase them, click the link and it will take you to the Amazon page.
I also covered my length and ends with EVOO to prevent over-processing. I did an ACV rinse to make sure the relaxer was out before shampooing one last time. Then I let my shampoo sit after lathering for 10 mins the first wash and 8 the second.
