It’s that time of the year, Black Friday! I have only participated at an actual brick and mortar store one year and that was the coach outlet. I said never again. After that, I’ve only done Black Friday online. This year I have declared Black Friday No Buy.
The product junkie in me is fighting and extremely upset but she will get over it. As tempting as all of the sales from my favorite beauty and hair vendors are, I am going to stick to the no-buy I set a few weeks ago.
I went crazy with nail accessories to bling out my weekly manicures. So I told myself that I was not buying anything other than groceries for the next few weeks. There is another reason for the no buy. If you have seen my hair stash you may understand better. I posted it on the Just Tiki Facebook page some time ago but just in case you missed it…
That’s only part of it. I have wigs that still haven’t been opened. Last year, I went crazy and most of that stuff is still unopened. You are just seeing the hair stuff. I still have make-up, skincare, brushes, and perfumes I still haven’t used. So, I will be in the corner looking crazy and trying to hide my card.
What are you buying for Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Are you on a no-buy too?

We travel for Thanksgiving so we never do black friday, I would love to just once though with a group of girlfriends 🙂

Wow! I’ve never seen so many hair products in one person’s cabinet! This is crazy! Black Friday makes me crazy! I always think there are deals when actually I spin my wheels trying to find them and end up wasting a full day on nothing!
Grow It Girl says
Yes Lexie, I have a problem. I’m in recovery. LOL
Jess C says
Oh my gosh!!!!! That hair shelf!!!!! I want!!!!!! (P.S better to never step foot in a shop on Black Friday! Not even worth it)
Dina says
Nothing wrong with that! i didn’t go out either!
Fabulous Perks says
I almost didn’t go out for Black Friday. My fiancé convinced me to go out and catch some of the great deals. We didn’t head out until way in the after; I say about 3pm. I have to admit the deals I got were worth it.
Grow It Girl says
Yeah, around that time the crowds have seriously died down
Jennifer Williams says
I declared it a no buy time because I am not fighting the crowds regardless of how good of a deal it is. I did not shop at all, of course I do my Christmas shopping between 12/26 and 1/1 of the previous year so I am done! Great deals after Christmas.
Grow It Girl says
I’m even trying to resist the post Christmas sales. LOL I doubt it will work but hey

I have plenty that’s not opened so I went easy last BF and again this BF. I purchased staples and tried one new vendor, My Honey Child.

Let me know how the MHC works

I am such a product junkie too… and I also protested the Black Friday sales, except buying some items from Babies R Us for my nieces and nephews.
Grow It Girl says
That’s a good excuse to shop:)
Trisha Grimes says
Oh wow! You have quite a stash there! I can totally understand why you’re holding back!
Grow It Girl says
Yes, It’s out of control! LOL

it’s easy to get swooped up in the momentum. Good to you for sticking to your declaration. 🙂
Jessicas Work says
I went out with my daughter on Thanksgiving night to our outlet mall, but we only spent 1.5 hrs there. Got some new workout clothes, stuff from Bath & Body works and Justice. Yesterday we did not go out but instead ordered online from 2 stores I wanted stuff from (JC Penney & Joann Fabrics.)
Grow It Girl says
1.5 hrs isn’t bad at all.
Charlene Charmazing Nikolai says
I didn’t buy a thing. 🙂 You wont’ find me in stores, I’ll hit up cyber Monday! 🙂
Grow It Girl says
That’s definitely what I prefer
