Attention All polish junkies! Last month, I posted a MANICure Monday Textured Polish post that featured Can’t Let Go from the OPI Mariah Carey polish collection. I love the color and the texture of the polish. OK, I love most of the polishes in the collection. It turns out that OPI has teamed up with Mimi for a holiday limited edition polish, Mariah Carey Pure 18K White Gold & Silver Leaf Top Coat! That’s right, white gold and silver leaf were used to create this polish.
OPI put luxury in a bottle just in time for the holidays. No matter if you prefer gold or silver, this is sure to spice up any manicure. It adds a metal texture over any OPI shade or can be worn alone for a subtle but lavish look. This genuine 18 karat white gold & silver leaf topcoat even comes packaged in a special limited edition collectible box. How cute is that?
A plus for this polish is the ProWide™ Brush. I love the new OPI polish brushes. Now, I am an OPI fan from back in the late ’90s. Yes, that is when they were still using standard brushes and you had to have skill and technique for a perfect application. Not one to brag but I do have skills, courtesy of being a former licensed nail technician.
According to Suzi Weiss- Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, the inspiration for the polish is Mariah Carey’s extravagant style. She even added that it takes nails to another level. I’m going to have to agree with that statement. I can’t think of another line that has this in its holiday collection.

I’ve always liked OPI and I think it’s what I find in a lot of nail salons too. They have such a good variety of colors and they last.
Yes, the quality is OPI is awesome. I had a hard time getting the Liquid Sand off and I’m not complaining at all!
