Month one is done…now what? I’m still on my weight loss journey with Nutrisystem. My goal for the first month was 10lbs; however, I ended the month at 8.8lbs. I’m not complaining, but I’m mad at my body for not reaching the goal.
I’m not almost at the end of month two and my body is not responding. I guess I’m at a plateau and I’ve only lost 1.2lbs. Now, I know part of the issue is my own fault. I haven’t been working out as much as I was before. It got cold, my joints started hurting, and I stopped exercising. I will say the Nutrisystem counselors have been great. I reached out to them to see if moving to a lower-calorie program would help until I become active again. The counselor I worked with didn’t just send me the calorie information for the plan I asked for, she asked questions to see how she could help me work through this period. She sent a meal plan and at-home workouts that are easy on my joints.
After I made the swap, I did have a drop in weight so that let me know I was back on track. During my time on Nutrisystem, I’ve only had one cheat day and that was Wednesday. I was sick as a dog and cooking was out of the question. So I ordered dinner and got right back on track the next day. Honestly, I’m proud of myself for not falling off the wagon.
Did I mention that I’ve lost inches even though I haven’t lost a ton of weight so far this month? Yes! I noticed a difference when I was looking at this picture compared to another I took shortly before starting my journey. I’m mad my nostrils were flared but my face does look smaller.
Month three starts next week and I’m excited. I’m going to go out in the morning for a quick run. I’m ending this portion of my journey with a bang! My goal was to lose 30lbs in the three months. I’m not sure where I will end but I’m giving it my all.
How is your journey coming?

Yes, we can see the difference in the photos. The work is definitely paying off. And I’m with Alisha on that “before” photo. My cousin is a stylist and my husband sees client photos on Facebook and always asks why they don’t smile. 🙂

Thank you! I know I’m not big on smiling.

You look like you are about to punch someone right in the throat on that last picture! LOL Congrats on losing weight/inches and I need to get my ish together because I want to lose 15-20 pounds and a million inches!

Glad your getting back on track! A smaller number on the scale is good but I will take losing the inches any day!
