I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for RoC Skincare. I received products to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Puffins are cute little creatures but should never be used to describe the situation going on in your under-eye area. Since I turned 30, I started my campaign against aging and I keep saying that I’m fighting it with everything that I have. Sadly, I have dry skin and that makes me tend to look a tad older than I would like.
Not having my mother’s skin is a blessing and a curse. I’m not acne-prone, but I don’t look as youthful as she did when she was my age. Dang! Oh well, as long as I can keep buying the RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream and Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer, I’m good to go.
Have you ever tried a product with the expectation that it will take a bit for it to work, but you were pleasantly surprised when you found out it worked super fast? Let me tell you, the RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream worked so fast on my puffin that I had to happy dance and PM a friend. I was talking to a blogging friend the first night I applied the eye cream and I told her it would probably take a few days for it to “kick in” — was I wrong or what? By the time I woke up the next morning, my puffin was missing.
I can’t attest to how it works for dark circles because the only thing that works for me when it comes to those is Vitamin K. However, the package says that it helps diminish puffiness, dark cycles, and crow’s feet.
Over the last few years, I’ve tried a few products that contained retinol with horrible results. I was afraid to try pure retinol from the dermatologist because I’ve heard horror stories about the peeling. I tried a few OTC products thinking I wouldn’t have that issue because the concentration of retinol was lower, but I still experienced peeling on the side of my face.
Honestly, I’ve been avoiding products with retinol as of late. However, I decided to give the RoC Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer a try. I’ve always heard great things about that brand, so that made me say okay to give it the old college try. Thankfully, I have not had any issues with peeling. Yass! I know it has helped with the fine lines on the side of my face, but the package says that you should see a reduction of deep wrinkles within 12 weeks.
As far as the peeling, I think what has helped is the moisturizer being labeled as a daytime-only product, so I’m not having a dose of retinol twice daily. I forgot to mention the moisturizer contains SPF 30–always help with this wonderful southern sun.
Before I forget, check out these awesome “Wrinkle Ranking” maps that RoC posted. Each map lets you know where each state is on the ranking and the contributing factors in wrinkles. Florida’s label is “Always Young At Heart” and it’s 27 on the list. I was shocked to see it that far down. I thought for sure Florida and Georgia would be higher up. Let’s be honest, we live in the sun. I’m guessing that time in the sun and the extra Vitamin D is the contributing factor in us having fewer wrinkles. I have no idea…just my assumption. LOL
You can pick up RoC’s skincare line at any major retailer including Walmart, Target, and Walgreens. Take a look at the maps and tell me in the comments where your state is ranked and if you agree. I’m curious to see what you think.

RoC is one of the only brands I can use that contains retinol. They know the right percentage to put in.

girl… that is awesome that this worked and didn’t give you any issues. I cannot use Roc products – especially retinol because my skin is so sensitive it won’t handle it. I have a serum with retinol but it’s the smallest possible amount and I can’t use it daily. Glad this worked for you.

It’s so funny; I have been eyeing Roc Retinol products for months. But I’ve been a little gun shy about trying a drug store product that’s over $15. Especially when I don’t know how it performs on our skin type and given the proven success of a little more expensive non-drug store products. But I have dry skin as well, so I think I might have to give this a try when I run out of my current moisturizer and eye cream. Thanks for the great review, Tiki! I’m excited to finally give this one a try. 🙂

I was afraid too but I’m glad I did try it. I really think only applying it once a day has been a big help. You know I don’t mind being the guinea pic for us dry skin girls. lol
