Summer is in full swing and Ipsy is showing us a little “Summer Lovin'” with its July Ipsy bag. Somehow, I managed to miss posting my June bag and there were a couple of things in the bag that I was excited to see. The biggest goodies in the June bag were the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, the NYC Liquid Eyeliner, and the BioRepublic Mask Trio. I truly think the summer Ipsy bags are always the best and my July Ipsy Bag did not disappoint.
A few weeks ago, I was on the Sephora site looking at the Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer, but something told me not to buy the bronzer. And, I am so glad I didn’t because the standout in this month’s Ipsy bag was none other than the same Tarte bronzer. I can’t tell you how excited I was when I saw the bag preview on the Ipsy site. Yes, I was doing my happy dance!
Honestly, there was only one disappointment in my July Ipsy bag and it was another hair product. I’ve tried everything when taking the quiz to prevent receiving hair products but it seems that my efforts are not working. Grrrr
Anywho, let’s stroll through my Summer Lovin’ July Ipsy bag.
OFRA Bliss Eyeshadow
OMG! The shadow is so gorgeous, and I can totally see myself using it as a highlighter. The Bliss eyeshadow is just beyond pretty and I feel compelled to review it to let you know how it works for me. Ipsy subscribers received a full-size eyeshadow that retails for $15. Awesome!
Be Bombshell is an Ipsy staple brand; If you’ve been an Ipsy subscriber for a while, then I am certain you have a collection of Be Bombshell products. Luckily, I have an addiction to lip products. I haven’t swatched this balm yet, but I’m curious about the pigmentation. I’m guessing it’s going to be very sheer but we shall see.
Bare Republic Naturals Face Sunscreen
I think this is perfect for this time of year. You can never go wrong with sunscreen. I noticed this sunscreen is tinted but I didn’t open it to check out the color. I’m hoping it won’t leave me with a white cast. I’ve read mixed reviews about this, so I can’t wait to try it for myself.
Umm…this was the disappointment in this month’s Ipsy bag. I have a few dry shampoos in my collection that I have yet to try. Alisha from Coilylocks swears by them for her daughter. So I’m going to try this one when my hair is straight and if it doesn’t work, Alisha will receive a nice package of dry shampoos. LOL! Sharing is caring. Ha!
My boo! I think I heard angels singing when I opened my Ipsy bag. I won’t lie…I went straight for the bronzer before I pulled anything else out of my bag. It would be nice to have the matte version too but I’m going to try this out first. Did y’all hear those angels too? LOL!
Overall, I’m loving my July Ipsy bag! Ipsy has definitely stepped their game up and I’m no longer on the fence about canceling again. However, I will weigh in again once the fall and winter bags start shipping. That’s the time of year when Ipsy normally starts slipping.
If you want to check out Ipsy for yourself, please use my link to join. I can use the points to pick up other beauty goodies. Hehe!
