I must be getting old because I totally forgot I had the Winter Walmart Beauty Box. Well, I guess me being older is one of the reasons why I keep receiving anti-aging products in my beauty boxes. Somehow over 35 translates to old as hell. Not sure who came up with that brilliant idea. We are going to create a beauty box and everyone that is over 35 years old gets nothing but anti-aging products…because they have to have a ton of wrinkles. *insert sarcasm*
More About The Walmart Beauty Box:
- Boxes arrive each season: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter
- Initial orders are processed and shipped shortly after submission. Each shipment for the following quarters is automatically sent until you cancel.
- You are not charged until your box ships
- The cost is $5 for shipping
I can’t help but feel some kind of way about this quarter’s box. The Fall Beauty Box contained full-size and deluxe items, but this box is mostly samples…seriously disappointed. I think that might be the reason I forgot about the box. 🙁 Blah
Let’s take a look at the items I received in my Walmart Beauty Box individually
L’oreal Color Vibrancy Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment
I received a sample of this in another box. I do need to give it a try to see if it will help my color last, but there is only enough in this sample for one wash day.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I love lotions that are not greasy or oily and I love that this one is fast absorbing. Aveeno makes great products and I’ve used the brand for years. However, this isn’t really what I would want or expect in my beauty box.
John Frieda Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment
I will probably give this away because I only need volume when my hair is flat ironed. I have something on its way to take care of that issue. hehe Anywho, my hair is thick and voluminous without using any hair products. I would’ve preferred to receive some type of anti-frizz product because lord knows my hair can turn into a hot frizzy mess. I truly turn into Mustafa’s little cousin.
Pond Wet Cleansing Towelettes
OMG! I love these things. *squeals like a little girl* I received a full-size pack from Influenster last year and I fell in love with the Ponds cloths. I’m able to remove all of my makeup and the best part is, they are great for sensitive skin. I have never had any type of allergic reaction using these cleansing cloths.
L’oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal Golden Serum and Day Cream
I can’t wait to try this product because I love anything that provides moisture. Y’all know I’m subject to having alligator skin. I wish they would’ve sent a full-size or deluxe sample of the serum and cream. Now that would’ve made me a very happy girl!
Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream
I love most of the Olay products I’ve ever tried and I’m sure this will be a winner. I haven’t decided when I will add this moisturizer to the mix because I am still finishing the Olay sample sent in the last box. Now that is a great moisturizer!
Dude seriously?! Not another stinking lotion! I’m sorry but two lotions in a beauty box is two too many. *Why don’t you tell them how you really feel!* Let me just put this in my give-away pile.
Ponds Anti-Wrinkle Cream with AHAs & Collagen
Hmm..this looks promising! You had me at collagen! This is another item that I have figured out how to incorporate but it will make it into my skincare regimen somehow.
Overall
There are a few pluses in this box but the Fall Walmart Beauty Box was way better than this box. Walmart set the bar high with the fall box and let their subscribers down winter rolled around. You can’t send out the good stuff for your first box and send out samples and afterthoughts on the next box. Not cool! Not cool at all. I would’ve liked to receive cosmetics instead of lotions. A nice lipstick or eye shadow would’ve been great! I’m going to give it another try to wait and see what arrives in the Spring box. If it’s more samples, I will cancel my subscription so fast it makes Walmart’s head spin. Deuces!

How much does cost? Is the aveda moisturizing for hair or skin?
Generally I think it is rarely any great value in those boxes. It is mainly PR products. But it will be interesting to read about your thoughts when you have used the products for a while

I don’t know off hand but you can find it at your local drugstore. Aveeno is normally reasonably priced.
