Birthday Reflections: Goals and Upcoming Changes

I’m so thankful to see another year above ground. LOL Seriously, each year is truly a blessing and I want to thank you all for supporting my baby (Grow It Girl) and I. Over the last year, both the blog and myself have grown beyond measure.

With growth comes change…

Personally, my skin has thickened and I am not as sensitive as I was this time last year. I’ve learned not to take things personally and not to allow negative energy in my space. We truly teach people how to treat us and I’ve started letting people know that their bad behavior is not longer tolerated. I don’t argue or exchange words; I simply release the negativity. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Just Tiki will experience some changes soon. Homegirl is getting a facelift and a body lift. LOL Over the next few weeks, the look of the blog will change a bit. More importantly, you will find more food, recipe, and lifestyle posts. So many of you have asked for recipes on this site because you didn’t like having to go over the Healthy Living With Tiki (HLT). I’ve since shut down HLT and I’m moving the recipe and fitness posts over to Just Tiki (JT). I’m so thankful for the love and support I received when I started sharing my weight loss journey on JT. By the way, I made my birthday goal plus a few extra pounds, a total of 17lbs.

Don’t worry! JT will continue to mainly focus on hair and beauty, but so many people have been asking for more. I know you all love when I chat more about myself. I was going to post my full reflection but it was too heavy to share and not make it a continued feature. I’m going to pray over it and see where I’m led on sharing more of my life experiences.

I look forward to the continued growth of both myself and the site. I hope you continue on the journey with us.
