My winter running bag essentials are part of a shop hosted by Collective Bias, Inc., and Pfizer. All opinions are mine alone. #HealthySavings #CollectiveBias
As the temperature drops, most people start to slack off on exercising and running. Call me crazy but I still run during the fall and winter months. We actually don’t cancel runs until the temperature hits 30 degrees. So staying healthy during this time of the year is a must to keep up with our running schedule. I can’t afford to let a pesky cold or joint pain slow me down. I’m lucky that I run with a dedicated group of women, so cold weather doesn’t bother us.
Now you know there is a mother hen in every group. You know that person who has a bag with everything who you need in it for whatever ails you. I’ve been that person since law school. I’ve always been the person that you can go to when you have a headache, cold, you’re sleepy, or whatever. I’m a walking medicine cabinet. LOL!
During this time of year, I have two bags. I have one bag with my goodies for others and I have another bag that I actually carry on me while I’m running. I recently headed to Walgreens to stock up while they have discounts on Pfizer products. All this month, you can save up to $15 dollars and you know I’m all about that. Let me show you what I’m currently toting around in my bags.
In my big bag, I have my Thermacare pads. I will be honest and say I have the ones for my back, but they somehow find their way to my knees if they are acting up. LOL Don’t judge me! I have packets of Emergen-C, a bottle of Advil. I normally take the Advil 30 minutes before I run.
As you can see, I have a little of everything…water, tissues, wipes. I’m telling you I’m a one-stop shop! LOL!
In my smaller bag, I only carry a bottle of water, my headlamp, GPS watch with a heart rate monitor, and my collection of ChapStick. Like seriously, I’m only showing one in the picture but I have several in my bag. Sigh
Don’t forget to stop up on items you need for the season at your local Walgreens. Here is where I found the display with all my running bag essentials.
What do you stock up on to stay healthy during the winter?

I have a regular gym bag with sweatshirt, wrist bands, towels and change of clothes, but need something better organised like this. Sadly, all my running is now done on the treadmill rather than outdoors.

Those Thermacare heat wraps work surprisingly well especially if you can’t lay on a heating pad for most of the day.

I’ve used those therma care things before when my back was messed up and it felt so good

I love those thermal heating pads — they’re a lifesaver when I want heat on a spot and am not home to plug in my heating pad. Not that I run or workout, but when I would have a painful period and couldn’t stay home, these thermal pads were my go-to for getting through the day 🙂

I’m always the stocked person too! I even go as far as to carry a thermometer – it’s for my kids but if anyone needs it I have alcohol swaps and meds and am ready to go! #client

I’m impressed that you run. I’ve been off the exercise train for too long and need to get back on. I stock up on Advil at my house. Someone always has something that hurts. Haha!
