This is a sponsored conversation with Olay, but all opinions are my own.
Are you guilty of falling off the skincare wagon? Has the changing weather shocked you back into reality? Well, me too! I’m super guilty of not always being the most consistent with my skincare regimen. During the summer months, I can get away with it just a bit; however, the fall reminds me that cooler temps and eczema don’t mix.
At the beginning of the summer, I gave the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream a try. During that time, I had once again fallen off my routine and as result, my face had dry patches. In the commercial that was released, there was mention of the Olay cream outperforming 10 prestige creams in a Good Housekeeping Institute study. At the time, I was super curious to find out if it would work for someone like me with seriously dry skin. I tend to not switch skincare products too often because of the price. So to find out that the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream ($26.99) performed better than $400 face creams, I was all in for giving it a try.
After just a few days of use, I could really see the difference. My dry patches were gone and my skin was back on track. I was seriously amazed by how quickly the product worked for me in such a short amount of time.
Fast-forward to September and I had once again fallen off the skincare wagon. Since the temperature was starting to drop, I figured it would be a great time to revisit the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. In my previous post, I stated that I would love to see my results long-term. That was code for, “I would like to see how well the product works during the fall/winter.”
This time around, I took the Olay 28 Day Challenge. The goal was to use the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream and the Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream for 28 days to see how well the products worked for me with the change in weather.
For the challenge, I only used Olay products, and that made life easier. It reduced my morning routine to only three steps:
- Cleanse with Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser – I love creamy cleansers and this one gave me everything that I love. The cleanser deeps cleanse the pore by gently exfoliating. I love how it feels on my skin and since it’s creamy and rich, it never leaves my skin feeling dry or stripped.
- Moisturize with Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream – The cream proves that looks can be deceiving. The first time I opened the jar, I thought the cream was going to be heavy. I found out during my first try that while the product is very creamy, it doesn’t leave me with a have suffocated feeling. It’s truly lightweight.
- Moisturize my under-eye area with Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream – My under-eye area is normally my problem area. I tend to have more texture and dryness. I found that I feel hydrated and after applying concealer, things look a lot better. Normally, applying concealer tends to show more of my texture and creases horribly. Now, I don’t have the dry cakey look. I want to continue to use the eye cream to see if it will help with my dark circles.
If you have been around these parts for a bit, you know that I have a line in between my eyebrows that I use to gauge a product’s effectiveness. I noticed within the first week that the line plumped up and I could barely see it. Honestly, if I stopped raising my eyebrows while looking at people as if they are crazy, I wouldn’t have the line. Maybe, I need to stick to just giving people the side-eye. LOL Anywho, you can see my wonderful line in my before picture even with makeup on. It was waving at folks and begging for attention! LOL
So, the results are in…the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream works just as well during the fall/cooler temps as it did during the summer. My skin looks great (aside from the little creature living on my cheek that has nothing to do with Olay). It’s back to behaving normally without any dry patches.
I’m going to keep going and try my best to not fall back into my lazy habits. At this point, I can’t afford to fall off the wagon again. I’m not quite at the “woman of a certain age” stage but I’m sneaking up on it. Skincare now is super-duper important.
Take the Olay 28 Day Challenge and tell me what your results were. To start you’re challenge, head over to the Olay Skin Advisor to determine which Olay products work best for you. Love your natural makeup application. My skin is definitely getting a little dryed out due to the weather now so gotta keep it moisturized.

For me, I have to be even more diligent when the temps drop. My skin dries out quick so I make sure to moisturize often!

This weather and stress has my faced all jacked up. Acne, oily and just not looking its best. Definitely looking into a new routine for the cold weather!

I picked up a sample of the eye cream and I need to try it again. I just used it once but my dark circles need some help so I’ll have to get back to it.

I love the colorful makeup. This post reminded me how I need to get my life together and get a fall/winter routine together too. I usual don’t think about this type of stuff because my skin is low maintenance but I feel like that’s gonna catch up to me as I get older. Got to get proactive about it!

I don’t slack off on skincare but I do change what I use after about 2 months, especially if there’s a season change. I’ve read such great things about these products.
Kathryne says
My skin is drier this time of the year so I layer up on moisturization
