I decided to go ahead and create this post after watching a video on YouTube about the debate on hair length charts. I had previously thought about posting the hair length chart that I use or recommend after there was a debate on a hair board that I am on but for whatever reason, I decided not to post about the subject. It seems one of the go-to charts is inaccurate and some people rely on the length of that chart. So I am going to post a variety of hair length charts to assist you in determining your hair length.
The first is the inaccurate chart that some people are using and relying on. This chart has hip length at classic length. Hip length sits at the hip bone. Think about where your pants naturally fall. Do not use the chart below for longer lengths.
Below are several other charts with the correct lengths:
I hope this helps someone. I posted on the video that I saw that the chart was backward, and I’m sure someone will try to debate that with me. I am not one to argue online. What I will do is make a statement and provide proof. I hope that people will begin to use more accurate length charts and stop using the inaccurate chart as gospel. Not to insult anyone…Hip Length should be an undebatable common sense length.
S/N: WHIP is not on any charts. It is something that was created on a couple of hair boards to describe the length between Waist Length and Hip Length. I say it’s a feel better length. Heck, it makes me feel better about not being Hip Length yet. LOL! If you want to see my current length check out my October Texlax post.
Again, I hope this helps someone.
