Ipsy wanted subscribers to live it up and shake their hips for their April Ipsy Bag. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was this month and I believe that’s where Ipsy got its inspiration for the Beauty Rocks bag. Here is a quick look at the items I received this month.
I am happy to say this month my bag arrived on time again. Maybe, Ipsy might be correcting their shipping issues. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
The first thing I noticed when I opened the bag was the oversized card. I really didn’t know what to make of it until I pulled it out. It was a trial-size Urban Decal 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil. Works for me! Oddly enough, I only have one in a bronze color so it was great to get this one in Black Velvet.
You would think after the incident with the clay mask I would not be happy to see skincare items. LOL! Oh, but I was happy to see the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion sample. Call me crazy but I still would like to try microdermabrasion. I think that incident was unfortunate but I’ll live. I have not tried this yet because I am trying to make sure my face is completely healed. I will be sure to let you all know my first impression once I give it a try.
I am not one for receiving perfumes in my beauty bags. I always make sure to exclude them because I am scent sensitive and a touch picky. However, I do love Jasmine as a tea so I thought I might be able to tolerate it as a perfume. It was a little too strong for my liking but I have to say the Demeter Jasmine Perfume Roll-On was true to scent. It really does smell like Jasmine and it has an oil base.
The shocker of this bag was the City Color White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse. When I opened the jar, I was not impressed and was almost irritated. However, my view changed once I swatched the product. It is gorgeous! The color in the jar does not do the final product any justice. This is a keeper and I can see myself using it on a regular basis. Yes, it’s just that pretty!
Bring it home is our unfortunate shipping casualty. The product came in a box but I could not take a picture of it because it was crushed during shipping. Don’t you just hate it when that happens? Ugh! Anywho, I received the Berry Me Jelly Lip Gloss by Mary Kay. I am a fan of Mary Kay products. Heck, I used to sell MK. Yep, I really did. I will say this line is a little tackier than the signature lip glosses but not enough to make you not use the product.
Well, that is all of my goodies for this month. If you would like to join Ispy and try these products for yourself, please feel free to use my Ispy link. I would appreciate it!
Do you subscribe to Ipsy? What did you receive in your bag?

It’s super creamy. I don’t know why I didn’t realize it was waterproof until I tried to take it off. LOL!
