It’s no secret that I love purple and whenever I see something purple, I must have it…no joke. I heard LuxePineapple was coming out with a box that was full of purples and I turned into a screaming tween. I must say I was wondering how they were going to create a box that was work friendly with a purple theme, but LuxePineapple pulled it off.
The “Work It” box contained everything needed to create a full look, down to the nail polish. Yasss! Shall we take a stroll through the box and chat a bit?
When I saw the box I knew I wanted to film a look and the first order of business was trying out the nail polish. I’ve never heard of the Trust Fund brand, so this was something new for me to try. After I received the polish in the LuxePineapple Work It box, I saw Ipsy sent it out in their beauty bag.
The polish is super pigmented and it lasts for days. My issue is the brush…it’s horrible. The brush left the polish looking streaky and patchy. I need the brand to redesign their brush or something because it just isn’t going to get it for me.
I received a Benefit cream eyeshadow base in the color “No Pressure”. It’s super creamy and easy to apply. I wasn’t sure about using it for a base on my look, but it worked out well. It made the shadow pop and I’m pretty happy with the overall look.
I used the LuxePineapple Seattle Baked Shadow Trio for my eye look, and I added a touch of black to deepen the outer “v”. I tried the champagne shadow both wet and dry and found that wet works the best. The purples in the trio were pigmented and easy to blend. I just had a touch of trouble with the golden champagne shadow because it took a bit to build the color.
I don’t know how I didn’t realize the eyeliner in the box was violet. I had a moment. I double lined my eyes with the violet pencil and a black pencil. I think I might try the liner as a lip liner in the future. It’s super creamy and I’m sure it will work perfectly as a lip liner. I just realized I didn’t take an individual picture…oops.
I now know that I can’t use cream blushes. OMG! I used way too much of the Tarte Deep Berry cheek tint. I tried to wipe it off and it stayed put. I ended up adding foundation over it to tone the color down. LOL! If only you could’ve seen my face while trying to tone the color down. It was a hot mess!!! I’m going to repurpose this as a lip color.
Now let’s bring this box on home with the lip products. The Nude lip pencil was a little lighter than I would like, but it all worked out. The pencil went on great…just like the liner. The applicator on the gloss was more like a paint brush or nail brush style. It picked up a good amount of product. My only issue was the lack of pigmentation.
Overall, I’m happy with the box and I will use most of the items again in the future. I think I’m going to try the Tart cheek tint topped with the Radiant lip gloss. I’ll let you know how that works out. If you want more information on LuxePineapple, please check out my LuxePineapple Laura Mercier box. Those lippies were gorgeous!

I have the tarte blush and it’s not typical of cream blushes – there is too much pigment in it so the first time you use it, it’s scary. I prefer a cream in a pot. This box with all the purple is a definite treat.
