Ipsy told its subscribers to “Buckle Up, Buttercup” for the Jetsetter May Ipsy Bag. Yes, I signed up for an Ipsy subscription…again. You know Ipsy and I have a love-hate relationship. I decided to give it one more try and this time around, I made some adjustments to my quiz answers, including my birth date.
Making the change did help some but I realized I needed to make other adjustments. I thought I took out hair products but it turned out that I left the answer to my hair type in the quiz. After receiving a hair product this month that I don’t need, I went through the quiz, noticed the answer, and made the change.
OK, the Ipsy bag that this month’s products came in was super cute! You know this will be in my purse hanging out! I give them credit because the Ipsy subscription bag is one of the more affordable bags out that only costs $10 per month. Now let’s take a look at what I received in my bag.

Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil + BONUS Revolution High-Color Lip gloss
Description: A waterproof liner that primes and defines to create long-lasting lip color and clean lines. If used to fill in your lips, the liner primes, and grabs onto the lipstick or gloss to help it last.
The lip glosses contain Hilurlip™, which hydrates lips while making them appear plumper and fuller.
My Thoughts: I love anything Urban Decay, and I have yet to find a product that doesn’t work well. I was excited when I saw the liner and I can’t wait to give it a try. With my constant lip licking, I need all the help I can get to help my lippies last longer.
The glosses are gorgeous, and I almost hate to open the samples. I have small containers that I plan to empty the glosses into to keep them as long as possible. Yes, they are that gorg! What? Don’t judge me!
NUXERêve de Miel® – Facial Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel
Description: A soap-free, face cleansing and makeup removing, a gel made with honey and sunflower. A gentle cleanser created for dry and sensitive skin.
My Thoughts: I have to admit I really wanted the GlamGlow Hydrating Cleanser because it’s on my wish list. However, I’m not at all mad at receiving this cleanser because my hair and skin love anything that contains honey. I have eczema and honey is a great moisturizing humectant that always leaves my skin feeling awesome. Plus, it’s is super hard to find products made specifically for dry or sensitive skin. I’ll take it!
theBalm Cosmetics – NUDE Dude Eyeshadow Single
Description: The shadow can be used wet or dry. By adding water to any theBalm shadow, you can create a super pigmented eyeliner or foiled eyeshadow. The Flirty shade is a shimmering golden violet color.
My Thoughts: theBalm is just the bomb. You can’t go wrong with theBalm products. Shoot, I just went ham during the last Hautelook theBalm sale. Their products are pigmented and of great quality and I love the fun names. You know I’m a little quirky, so I can appreciate the brand.
The picture doesn’t do the color justice because it is so freaking pretty. I always get excited when I see theBalm products in any of my subscription bags or boxes.
Luxie Beauty – Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205
Description: The brush is 100% animal cruelty-free and made with high-quality synthetic bristles with a rose gold ferrule. The hair bristles are coated with an antibacterial solution to keep the brush fresh and cleaner longer with minimal brush cleansing.
My Thoughts: The brush is super soft and gorgeous. You know I love pink and the rose gold ferrule is so pretty. I can’t wait to give it a try. My only concern focuses on the solution used to coat the bristles. I have sensitive skin and I’m not sure if I will have any issues. However, I will give it a try. I’m sure my worry is for nothing. 🙂
Oscar Blandi – Pronto Texture & Volume Spray
Description: The Pronto Texture & Volume Spray is a dry weightless formula that gives body and texture for the “undone” look for all hair types.
My Thoughts: This is the one disappointment in the bag. I have no need for any more products that create volume or texture. I’m seriously hoping the change in my quiz will help with future hair products. As for this one, I will probably hold on to it to add to my upcoming sample sale section. I don’t want to throw it out because it’s a full-size can. I’m sure someone wants to give this product a try.
Overall, this was a great bag coming back to Ipsy. The thing I know from previously having an Ipsy subscription is, the summer bags are the best. So, I think I came back just in time and I can’t wait to see what the summer bags have in store.
I do think making tweaks to my profile helped because I received a brush with this bag. You don’t understand…getting a brush in my bag has proven to be damn near impossible. The first and the last time I received a brush was way back when the Ipsy subscription bag was just starting out. Yes, Ipsy, and I have been at this for some years now. LOL! I hope now we can get along and have a lasting relationship without any breakups.

I have the full size of this Nuxe cleanser and I’m not liking it much :/ I felt like it made my skin uncomfortably dry 🙁
