Everyone loves a good sale, right?. One sale that beauty bloggers look forward to is the Sephora VIB sale. Honestly, I haven’t been purchasing makeup as much lately. Unfortunately, the laptop that I use to blog was broken by someone who clearly didn’t know how to change the fan. Ugh! Since I wasn’t blogging, I scaled back on buying makeup. OK. OK. The blog is how I justify my makeup purchases and avoid fessing up to being a complete makeup addict. LOL!
Well, I decided that there was one thing that I absolutely had to buy during the latest sale. It would’ve been better if I was still VIB. Now, I’m at the Beauty Insider status. Yes, I really scaled back this year. LOL I added my little code for 10% off and skipped off into the sunset. A discount is a discount!
Enough of me yapping, let’s get into the goodies that I purchased during the latest Sephora sale.
First up, the reason why I purchased anything during the sale was to buy the Jacki Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills palette ($45). I know I’m late, but I was seriously waiting until the sale. Y’all know I’m cheap as hell! 🙂
I definitely wanted to support Jackie. She is one of the most supportive influencers out. Someone said that she is one of the most non-problematic influencers. That’s code for she stays away from the beauty influencer drama. I think she is overall a positive influence and fun to watch.
Anyway, I loved the look of the palette and knew that I had to have it. Of course, I will have looks coming up using the palette. I’m dying to crack it open and dig in. I won’t bother to swatch the palette because you can find a ton of swatches everywhere.
So, the next two items are somewhat redundant. My lips are horrible right now because I ran out of lip balm. This time of the year my lips become a whole hot mess. I definitely grabbed a couple of items to get them back on track.
Laneige Kiss me Day and Night set spoke to me. I was about to check out and it said, “Don’t forget about me!” Somehow, it jumped into my cart and here it is. LOL
The Laneige set ($18) includes the cult fave Lip Sleeping Mask and Lip Glowy Balm in Berry. I wish the set came in the Apple Lime flavor. Yum! Given the bargain, I ordered the set regardless of the flavor. The balm is the full-sized product and the mask is .10 oz. The full-size jar of the sleeping mask is .70 oz for $20. In essence, you are paying the $15 for the balm and $3 for the mask. Now, that I’m thinking about it…I might take it back and grab a couple of samples and buy the balm separately. Don’t judge me!
The other lip product is bae! I have loved this lip balm for years. The funny part is that I bought the Black Tea & Blackberry ($8) one not too long ago and still haven’t opened the box that it came in. However, for the price point, I had to grab this set. I’m talking about the Jack Black All is Balm ($12) set. I normally get the grapefruit flavor and this set had two others that I haven’t tried yet. So, why not?
Last on my list is the Farsali Skintune Blur Perfecting Primer Serum ($54). Can I tell you that I love this stuff?! I previously purchased the trial size bottle ($22); because, I wanted to see how well it worked before I committed the larger bottle. Girl! It is amazing! For the last couple of years, my pores on my nose and right under my nose have been acting a pure fool. I heard as you get older your pores get larger, but this is crazy! Luckily, the Skintune Blur does an awesome job of reducing the appearance of my pores. I had to buy the full-size bottle for sure.
This haul is short and sweet! I didn’t do too much damage. Funny enough, I’m almost back at the VIB status. SMH!
Did you shop the sale? What goodies did you pick up?
