A Three Day Hair Wash Day? The Never Ending Wash Day

My last wash day turned into a never-ending wash day. It literally took days to complete my normal wash day steps! I started my hair this past Sat and didn’t finish until Sun with an add on Mon. I hope this is not a hint of things to come in the future as my hair grows longer. I’m sure I will create a better system.  Anywho, let’s chat about my steps for this wash day.

3 day never ending wash day

Pre-poo: I detangled using my Silken Child detangler. I did a prepoo with Neem oil on my Scalp and an Ayurvedic gloss on my hair. I used the Re-moisturizer I bought from Sally’s as a base for an Ayurvedic gloss. I added some premixed gloss I had leftover in a V05 bottle to the re-moisturizer. Last, I added 1.5 tsp of henna. I applied the gloss from root to tip and steamed my hair for 30 mins. Next, I put on my plastic cap and left it on for a few hours while I did chores and other things around the house. Once I was finished,

Shampoo:  I used V05 clarifying shampoo followed with my Vatika Nourishing shampoo.

Deep Condition: I mixed Jessicurl Deep Treatment with EVOO, and Hemp Oil. Prior to applying the conditioner mix, I let my hair air dry a bit because I like to deep condition (DC) overnight and I don’t like waking up wet from my hair. You know wet clothes, wet pillow, and just wet everything. LOL! After it air-dried, I put on my condish (conditioner), plastic cap, and bonnet and called it a night. I thought about steaming again but decided against it.

DT-N3

Well, day three came into play on Mon because I decided to do a quick co-wash. I used my V05 Moisture Milk to do quick detangle and shed hair removal. I rinsed and added Aussie 3 min DC. After all this conditioning, my hair feels great!

I have it up in two French braids. If I’m able to go out running tonight I will take it down and co-wash. Hoping the rain stops by 7.

I noticed they help me also. It low manipulation. The only time I mess with my hair when it's braided it to massage my scalp and moisturize it.
