If you follow me on my Just Tiki Facebook Page, you know that I dyed my hair last week and I mentioned having a great customer service experience. I never did say the company or product name, but I decided to share it now. OK, let me tell you what happened.
I purchased a couple of bottles of Adore Plus hair color in Dark Red Brown to cover my greys. Yes, I have greys. Everyone in my family goes grey early. Anywho, I normally use Adore hair color when I’m just too lazy to mix henna, but I normally use the original version. I used the Adore Plus color per the instructions and unfortunately, the color did not take. Now, this is not a review just a chat. I was a little frustrated because I had some color on a few strands but more were still grey.
I called the manufacturer to let them know the color did not work as described just to give them feedback on the product because it is new. Well, new to me at least. It was my first time seeing it. Anywho, they had a surprise for me. I guess because I was calling just to report the issue and not to be compensated the rep decided to send out a few bottles of the original Adore product. I don’t know why he did it, but I am glad. I posted on Facebook how I love great customer service and this is the company I was referring to in the post. I will admit I thought they were going to blow me off when I left the message. However, to my surprise, I received a call back in less than an hour. I told the representative what happened and how many bottles I used which he followed with an offer for replacement. I had my replacement color within a few days.
I have two points to this post. First, don’t underestimate your feedback as a consumer. If your intent is genuine, companies will listen. Secondly, a good customer service experience will go a long way. The representative had no idea that I was a blogger and I never mentioned it. I did not call with an attitude…just a sincere desire to offer feedback. Some people think being negative and irate is a means to get things accomplished. However, many times it has the opposite effect.
In the future, I will continue to use the original Adore in Crimson Red. I forgot to mention the rep got a chuckle out of my color choice, “Oh, you like the bright red color!” I had to laugh and let him know that it is not as bright on my hair because my natural color is dark. I no longer bleach my hair before using color. I think I’m too old for bright red hair. LOL!
In all, I am glad I reached out to the manufacturer. I am now a bigger fan of the company and product just because of the customer service I received.
Have you had a customer service experience that has made you a bigger fan of a product or company? Have you tried the Creative Image Adore brand hair color?
