Drinking NESCAFÉ® Clásico ™ takes me back to my childhood and drinking coffee with my grandmother. Yes, I said childhood and drinking coffee in the same sentence. My coffee habit started around the age of 10 and people used to joke about it stunting my growth since I am a towering 5’4″ tall. LOL My grandmother would only drink instant coffee and never owned a coffee machine. I would bug her about making me a cup and one day she finally gave in. In her mind, it couldn’t hurt because the coffee was decaf (regular gave her headaches). We would sit at the kitchen table and chat will sipping coffee. I felt like a big girl and so grown up.
Those sweet memories are part of the reason why I worked so hard to create memories for my girls too. Let’s just say their coffee addiction started early too. LOL! NESCAFÉ® Clásico ™’s #MomentoNESCAFE campaign to make moments special is right on time because I’m planning surprise visits to Virginia and Florida. I haven’t been home in so long and everyone has been asking when I’m coming back. OK, people are more interested in when I’m moving back.
So I figured I would do a sneak attack on my friends and “family”. I have family in quotations because the only biological family I have left are my daughters, but I have people I’ve known my entire life that are my adopted family.
After my grandmother’s death, I realized that life is too short to take it for granted. Being a true Libra (read that as a true procrastinator) it’s very easy to put things off and say I will do it later. However with life experience and illnesses of a few friends, I realized it’s time for me to head home for a bit and get and give a ton of hugs and kisses. #MomentoNESCAFE
The most important special moments, now that I’m older, are very simple and involves simply spending time with my friends and family. Luckily, most of the people I know share my addiction to coffee so that always helps. LOL
For their “Make Moments Happen” #MomentoNESCAFE campaign, NESCAFÉ® has teamed up once again with Ricky Martin. A few weeks ago, NESCAFÉ® invited people to have a “Coffee Break with a Stranger.” Participants played games, took pictures in a photo booth, and enjoyed coffee samples. During the event, Ricky Martin surprised attendees as the “Stranger” they were having coffee with for the day. How cool is that?!

Life is too short not to take chances. I totally agree with the thought that we all need to make moments happen and spend time with those we truly care about.
