I can’t believe this is the last day of October. Time flew by so quickly. Sadly, this is the last day of the heat-free challenge and I have to say I made it the entire month without using direct heat to style my hair.
My heat-free style for this week did not turn out how I planned. I put my hair up in Bantu knots and planned to take them down to wear this week. However, I was seriously heavy-handed with the products and my hair was still damp when I took the knots down. It was a mess! No, I didn’t take pics.
Plan B: I was going to pin my hair up into one of my favorite styles but I had so much product on my hair that it was bothering me. I ended up washing my hair to get the product out and I decided to wear a bun for this week’s hair.

Plan C: I brushed my hair back into a low ponytail, gelled my edges with Argan Oil Eco Gel, and tied my edges down with a scarf. I am still amazed at how much my hair is behaving at 23 weeks post. Cherrelle (my hair) and I did not fight, argue, or call each other names to get my hair into the ponytail. I am so proud of her, but I think she is trying to avoid me texlaxing next week. IJS That chick ain’t slick!

Let’s see, I started the challenge with Caruso curls from my length check and trim.
Next, I braided my hair up and wore it under the bob wig.
Off-Topic: I am seriously thinking about recording a video styling the wig I wore a few weeks ago. I received compliments from a ton of people and that was me just taking it out of the package and doing nothing to the wig. Let me think about that for a sec. It’s fall and I’m about to go hard in my wig stash.
I decided to leave the braids in and turn them into a braidout. I loooove how the braidout turned out. My hair was so soft and fluffy.
Now, I’m ending with my hair in a nice fluffy bun. I did not wear all of the styles that I planned for this month but I did make my goal of no heat. I call it a win and I am happy I completed the heat-free challenge. Plus, I had fun with Jen and Jay. Thanks to the ladies for having me and my craziness. LOL!

Go head Sharelle. I’m almost at the end of my challenge too. Almost a year if no cutting. Woohoo
I can’t believe it’s been that long. You go, girl! Now, don’t cut Sybil as soon as your year is up. LOL
