I love the idea of dark red ombre lips and natural eyes. I haven’t worn two different colors on my lips since high school. I will say this time around it looks a lot better…minus the brown liner and nude lipstick.

Confession time: Fall is here and I am pulling out the dark lipsticks and nail colors. I couldn’t wait to grab my fall colors. Don’t get me wrong, I love my summer makeup but for me, it is more pinks and corals. In Fall and Winter, I tend to play more with colors.
I prefer dark colors in general. If I could get away with some of my fave lippies during the summer, I would rock them year-round. Hey, I am the same person who wore black and dark brown lipstick in the ’90s. In my defense, I was young and it was acceptable…kinda. Don’t judge me!
Anywho, let me stop rambling and get back to the look. In an effort to make the eye as natural as possible, I opted for a basic liner with no wing.
What I used in this look:
Face:
Skindinavia Primer
Rimmel BB 9 in 1 BB Cream Medium and Medium/Dark mixed
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Creamy Beige
Cheeks:
E.L.F. Blush in Blushing Rose
Eyes (I reached for my Mary Kay palette):
Mary Kay in Adobe (lids)
Mary Kay in Cinnabar (crease and outer v)
Mary Kay in Copper Beach (highlight)
Maybelline Smoked Kohl Liner in Smoldered Chestnut
Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude (waterline)
Smashbox Full Exposure (top lashes)
Rimmel Las Accelerator (lower lashes)
Lips:
Beautique Liner in Wine
Mary Kay Lipstick in Red Salsa
I loved how the dark red ombre lips and natural eyes turned out. I think next time I will go for a little drama and wing it out. I think I will use a shimmer on my lid. Hmm…I see another ombre lip coming.
I love your hair!!
Thank you!
