Red Red Wine Pacifica Polish | Swatch and First Impression #NOTW

Fall is here and I am noticing a pattern…I’m having a love affair with darker vampy reds. I received the polish I’m wearing in my September Ipsy bag.  It is Red Red Wine Pacifica Polish. I was thinking about this polish all week like it was a hot donut from Krispy Kreme. What? Don’t judge me. I was going to wear it last week, but I promised to show the swatches of my other two Rainbow Honey colors. So, I had to wait. I sat the polish right beside my sofa and it was calling me. I am so glad I gave in.

The funny thing about this polish…well two things. You can get away with one thicker coat because the polish is so creamy and pigmented. The other is I can’t smell the polish. It is 7-free, but they need to add scent-free because I really can’t smell a thing. My allergies aren’t acting up so that can’t be it. I literally just opened the bottle and shoved my nose in. It does have a polish smell, but I had to put my nose all up in the bottle. I’m so glad no one could see that…LOL, It was not cute…not cute at all. Hehe

Sorry, here are the details from the Pacifica site.

“7 Free is formulated without parabens, phthalates (dibutyl phthalate), toluene, xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, and animal byproducts

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Stearalkonium Bentonite, n-Butyl Alcohol, Benzophenone-1, Silica, Alumina, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Polyvinyl Butyral MAY CONTAIN (+/-): Aluminum Powder (CI 77000), Oxides (CI77499 / CI 77491), Red 34 Lake (CI 15880), Red 6 Lake (CI 15850), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Mica (CI 77019), Blue 1 (CI 42090), Yellow 11 (CI 47000), Titanium.”

Heck, I might as well this a product review. Let me add that despite this being a dark color, it dries fast. I didn’t have to use an accelerator or drying spray. Now, I’ve heard Pacifica polishes are long-wearing. That is the only thing I can’t say just yet and why I might just label this as a first impression. If it does have great wear, you will see a few more of these polishes pop up in future manicures.

You can find this and the rest of the polish line on the Pacifica Beauty site retailing at $9.00 for a .45oz bottle.

Anywho, I think this is a great way to start my week. What polish are you wearing this week? Are you loving the Red Red Wine Pacifica Polish?

I’ve seen this line at Whole Foods. I always wondered if it was any good. I’ve been wanting a low odor polish. So I will definitely buy one of these polishes the next time I go to Whole Foods.

I’ve loved this polish and rarely ever do recommendations. I’ve received so many compliments that even if it had a regular odor, it was worth it. Trust me the pics don’t do it justice. I had that I have to change my color b/c I’m loving it.
