When I started talking more about beauty on Just Tiki, I wanted to focus on ladies like me who look for great deals that keep their beauty on a budget. I’ve heard people complain about going to some sites that only feature high-end products and it leaves readers feeling some kind of way.
The thing about is that you do not have to pay $100 for a brush or $50 dollars for a foundation to get looks similar to those you see on blogs or YouTube. I’ve found great products at my local beauty supply, drug store, and online that stay within my budget. I can’t afford to spend a lot to look great so I’m always searching for a quality product at a great price. So, I can understand readers who feel the same way. It’s all about beauty on a budget!
Heck, one of my favorite foundations came from the Dollar Store, L’oreal HIP Foundation. Yes, I paid $1.00 for a bottle of foundation.
When paired with a Stipple brush from ELF, it can work wonders and it’s flawless! When you are out and about, don’t be afraid to check the clearance items because they are full of great finds.
The overall theme of my blog is really doing everything on a grad student’s budget, in short, I’m broke and I refuse to look busted! So, stay tuned for things I find along the way and see how I used them in my looks.
BTW, I took time off from doing makeup but I’m inching my way back and rebuilding my skills. I have some rough days and looks but I shake them off and keep at it. Oh yeah, I still post them just to give you all ideas. I have learned if you do not use it, you will lose it! Enough of me rambling…

Nail Art With Drugstore Polish
If you are on a budget and trying to keep your beauty cost down, I would always say check out the Dollar Tree, Dollar General, CVS, and Walgreens always has great items on clearance, Walmart. There are a ton of stores that cater to divas keeping their beauty purchases on a budget.
I love shopping at E.L.F during their half-off sales. Oh, I lose my mind!!! Most of their items are only $1; however, they have recently started to add items that are great dupes for high-end makeup brands. I found a blush named Gotta Glow that is a great dupe for NARS Albatross for only $3.
What items do you have that keep with the idea of beauty on a budget?

I love finding beauty products at a great discounted price. Especially polishes. Who the heck wants to pay $20 for nail polish?!?!

Exactly! I do have some that are expensive but the bulk of my collection cost $1 per polish.
